Wet socks. He loves to wear socks and sandals so of course socks are going to be appropriate, but he would be a wet sock because nobody likes wet socks and Dr. Maahs is able to put that damper on a person's day by going to his class. You'll always walk out with wet socks after being in Dr. Maahs' class and you can't wait to get them off (e.g., leave class) but it will happen again.
